This story may contain descriptions of PTSD symptoms, discussion of child sexual abuse, and the effects of trauma.
In my first article for Allure, I interviewed Amita Swadhin, Ignacio Rivera and Aishah Simmons three LGBTQI child sex abuse (CSA) survivors of color who are each leading critical projects to end sexual violence. Too often, CSA survivors, in particular LGBTQI survivors of color, are sidelined and silenced in conversations around sexual violence. It was such a privilege to interview these leaders whose work has meant so much to me and thousands of other survivors. You can read the article here.
